Free support team at your fingertips
You teach them all day long, but students' questions don't always end there. That's why the DLC created our live online tutor service that connects your students with real tutors every Monday through Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
It's free, so there is a level playing field for everybody.
Think of them as your auxiliary aides. Our tutors are a trusted resource your students can turn to for aid before a homework assignment turns into a crisis or in those moments of anxiety the night before a big exam. Encouraging your students to use this live service teaches them good study and research habits. You can also schedule specific time slots for your students by emailing your request to our team.
Using a secure instant message system, your students ask questions in the moment and use an online white board to work out formulas or equations. Our tutors are also available off hours—students email questions as they arise and a tutor will respond.
Our tutors are quite capable. They're fluent in many foreign languages and have expertise in math, science, English and business. Students find support for college essay writing and find tips for taking the WASL, SAT and ACT.
Some DLC Tutors are college students living in Washington and a couple of recent grads are logging in from Europe.
