War Letters

I sort of stumbled upon these letters, but as I began to read, I found them riveting. The link below is to a collection of eight actual letters sent home from various locations throughout the world by World War II soldiers. They range from a grim description of a concentration camp to an elated letter from a new father to his wife. I highly recommend reading them all- they create an unbelievably personal perspective of a war that is otherwise easy to see from the distance of maps & dates in history books.
Enjoy!
