Napoleon's tooth sold!

An auction in Wiltshire, England, sold a canine tooth believed to have belonged to Napoleon for $19,000. This tooth was supposedly pulled in 1817 when he suffered from scurvy while he was in exile after his defeat at the battle of Waterloo.

By the time of his death, most of his teeth had come out and his gums bled easily. The tooth has also been recognized as that of a male in his 40s, so the tooth very likely did belong to Napoleon.
