Trouble brewing between China and Japan
Recently, thousands of Chinese have taken to the streets in a series of anti-Japanese demonstrations. Their complaints range from recent disputes over under-sea oil beds between the two countries, to Japan's refusal to acknowledge atrocities committed during its World War II occupation of mainland China. The Chinese government has openly supported (and perhaps even incited) these protests, and has refused to apologize to Japan.
